Clap-Off The Bad

Luis' resilience is awe-inspiring, and his love for his growing family continues to fuel his fight.

Luis has shown incredible strength in the face of unimaginable challenges. Just last year, he was diagnosed with advanced brain cancer, a diagnosis that left his family and friends reeling. With determination and the skilled care of his medical team, he underwent an awake craniotomy and, miraculously, recovered. His journey was celebrated by family, friends, and hospital staff alike, who marked his remarkable improvement with a joyful "clap off" as he left the hospital. We believed the worst was behind us, and we embraced a future filled with hope.

Sadly, life had other plans. Recently, Luis was rushed to the hospital with severe arm pain, only to receive a devastating new diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The news came just as he and his wife, Nicole, were eagerly preparing for the arrival of their baby boy, who is due in just one week. Instead of enjoying these final moments of anticipation, Luis began chemotherapy and received a platelet transfusion, all while trying to figure out how he will safely meet his newborn son in the midst of his hospital stay and treatment.

With both Luis and Nicole unable to work, with a new baby already here, the weight of these challenges is immense. Yet, even in the midst of this heart-wrenching battle, they are surrounded by a community of love and support. Family and friends have stepped in to help with their children and home, and the prayers of so many have given them strength during these difficult weeks.

Luis' resilience is awe-inspiring, and his love for his growing family continues to fuel his fight. As they navigate this unimaginable time, they do so with hope and the knowledge that they are not alone. Their community stands with them, ready to support them every step of the way as they celebrate their new baby boy and face the road ahead together.
